Colleen Larson has been a Global Education Advisor at the University of Georgia’s Office of Global Engagement since 2004. She has been involved with international education activities since her undergraduate studies at Northern Illinois University (B.S. Enterprise Management) and first traveled overseas to Ghana for an international AIESEC internship. After serving over three years in the Peace Corps in the Dominican Republic and El Salvador, she returned to the US to begin a career in international education. Colleen has worked as a study abroad and exchange program advisor since 1997 and previously employed by CIEE: Council on International Educational Exchange and Central Connecticut State University. In 2001 she earned a Master of International and Intercultural Management degree (International Education) from the School for International Training in Brattleboro, VT. Colleen has broad experience working with university students studying abroad, including cross-cultural training programs and student exchanges. She is especially interested in encouraging all students to explore diverse study abroad programs in all regions of the world.
