UGA- Grady- Choose Taiwan/Tokyo Advertising/
Public Relations Study Abroad Program

Join us as we travel to Taiwan and Japan to learn about advertising and public relations in one of the fastest emerging markets in the world. Offered through the Department of Advertising and Public Relations at the University of Georgia, our study abroad program provides an unparalleled learning experience for students who want to visit Taiwan and Tokyo to see and learn about one of the future centers of brand communication.

Program Location

For Summer 2020, we will be traveling to Taipei, Taiwan and to Tokyo, Japan (host of the Summer 2020 Olympics!)!

Tokyo, Japan

One of the most exciting moments for our 2020 Choose China program is we will also visit Tokyo, Japan for one week. Tokyo, Japan’s capital city, is the perfect add-on destination to enrich your cultural experience while in Asia. Tokyo dazzles with its traditional culture and passion for everything new. The city itself is a perfect reflection and combination of the traditional and the ultramodern that gives you the best experience.

During our time in Tokyo, we will visit some iconic landmarks in the city, including the Sensoji Temple, the Nakamise Street, the Tokyo Imperial Palace, the Meiji Jingu, the Omotesando in Shinjuku, the Odaliba (a futuristic-looking entertainment/residential area), Ginza (the most famous shopping area) and Shibuya (one of the most popular areas with entertainment, shopping, fashion and cuisine).

We will also schedule a one-day excursion on a scenery ride to Hakone. Surrounded by forest, mountains and clear blue sky, Lake Ashinoko in Hakone is a picture-perfect retreat. We will visit Hakone Shrine, featuring torii gates in the water of Lake Ashi. Another highlight will be the visit to Lake Kawaguchiko, where offers the best view of Mount Fuji (the visibility depends on the weather of the day).

Students will have free time to explore the city on your own to experience the breath of Japanese arts and culture. So join us in 2020 for the best study abroad experience in Asia!
