UGA - University of Liverpool Summer Research Exchange

Summer research projects include subject areas ranging from Electrical Engineering, Electronics & Computer Science, History, Languages & Culture, Life Sciences, Environmental Science, Psychology, and Engineering.

Earn 15 Liverpool credits (7.5 ECTS) = 4 US credits or more

The summer is a great time to be in Liverpool with lots of University and public events to enjoy. Summer research students have the option of staying in University accommodation and will have the full support of their academic supervisor and the Study Abroad team in Liverpool.
  • Each research project is a University of Liverpool module worth 15 Liverpool credits (7.5 ECTS)
  • Students will receive a transcript with a grade for the project undertaken – assessment can be in a variety of formats including portfolios and poster presentation (each individual department sets their own assessment


Eligibility Requirements

  • Minimum 3.0 GPA
  • UGA student in good academic standing
  • Exchange Nomination from UGA

Program Itinerary

Liverpool Term Dates
Summer Research: 4 to 12 weeks beginning in early June 2020
Liverpool offers 3 start dates:
Session 1 June 1, 2020 for 4, 8 or 12 weeks
Session 2 June 29, 2020 for 4 or 8 weeks
Session 3 July 27 for 4 weeks


Summer research students can enter Liverpool halls of residence on or off campus depending on preference and availability.
