Program Description:

UGA Embedded – Franklin –  Women and US Public Discourse in London

Spend your Spring Break in London! See where women protested for the right to vote and meet women leading women's rights today.

Program Location: London, England

This cosmopolitan capital city is home to a rich history of women organizing, parading, protesting, getting arrested, and risking their lives for women's rights. As a global center of politics, it's where women are organizing to change women's rights around the world.

Academic Program

YOU DO NOT NEED TO BE ENROLLED IN COMM4370 TO ATTEND!!! This London & Women's Public Discourse Spring Break embedded program is also an optional part of COMM 4370: Women & US Public Discourse. No prerequisites required! The spring break program satisfies students' experiential learning requirement. This experiential component places students in multiple sites of women's resistance and women's political organizing. If you do wish to register for COMM 4370, register for 4.0 credit hours (3.0 for the course + 1.0 for the trip).
