Bermuda Insurance Market Study Trip
March 10th to 14th, 2019

Senior & Junior RMIN majors are invited to apply to participate in the  Bermuda insurance market. Participants will learn about the Bermuda marketplace firsthand by attending lectures, seminars and one-on-one sessions with Underwriters, Brokers, Reinsurers and Captive Managers in Bermuda.

*A draft itinerary is listed below.

We will select approximately 8 to 10 students. Both Juniors and Seniors are welcome to apply.

Accommodations: Students will share hotel rooms - up to 3 students in a room.

Requirements for Student Participants:·
Participants must commit to the full trip, departing early on the morning of Sunday, March 10th and returning on the evening of Thursday, March 14th.

·        Participants must attend all scheduled sessions, meetings and meals while in Bermuda.
·        Participants must have, or be able to obtain, a valid passport prior to travel.
·        Participants must pay a non-refundable deposit of $300. (If selected to participate.)
·        Participants must attend three (3) one-hour Educational Sessions in February to learn more about the Bermuda marketplace prior to the trip.

Through funds provided by the RMI International Fellows and Scholars Fund, the RMI Program will pay for the flight, hotel, transportation to/from hotel, and meals while in Bermuda. Students are responsible for transportation costs to/from the Atlanta airport, passports, and all other costs while in Bermuda.

The previous 7 years have been a great success. The students learned a lot, made important contacts, and had a great time. We expect this to be another great year.
