Final Reflection Questions
What were the most significant take-aways from your experience?
Program Testimonials
The most significant take-away from this study abroad is that placing yourself in new and unique situations will always make you grow, and you will always learn from the experiences. We were placed in completely new situations while on this study abroad and from experiential leaning I gained such an appreciation and greater knowledge of the culture.

What were the most significant take-aways from your experience?
Program Testimonials
Traveling around the entire island of Bali was a rich experience from which I got a taste of anthropological fieldwork. I enjoyed learning about the religion and culture of Bali as well as the external influences like tourism and Western development that have affected the current state of Bali.

What were the most significant take-aways from your experience?
Program Testimonials
That traveling intentionally and with the right purpose can really change the experience. I learned so much about Balinese culture and history that I had never learned in any history book before, so I discovered that the only real way to get immersed into an culture is to spend time learning about it, and not just sight-seeing.

What were the most significant take-aways from your experience?
Program Testimonials
Not only did we learn so much in detail about Balinese culture and religion, including a great deal firsthand from local Balinese, the program had opportunities for spontaneity built in, so we were able to take part in ceremonies and processions that we encountered, which sometimes lasted for many hours but were absolutely incredible. Had our professors been concerned with following a more rigid itinerary, we might have missed out on some of this Balinese serendipity.

Be prepared to be out of your comfort zone, but in the best way possible. Every experience and thing you do is incredibly exciting! Also, go into this program with an open mind, be curious, ask questions, and be open to trying new things/foods/ways of looking and thinking about things/etc. and you will get so much out of the program
