What were the most significant take-aways from your experience?

The most significant take-aways from my experience in Oxford were learning to be more resilient and independent. I also learned how to quickly adapt to a new culture and way of learning. I feel more confident, independent, and intellectually capable. Oxford has challenged me to be the best version of myself and to not give up. I am excited to apply everything I have learned while abroad.

What were the most significant take-aways from your experience?

Being a first-timer in Europe the cultural differences, and also similarities expanded my worldview on almost everything. Studying for 6 weeks gave me the opportunity to really embrace and live in the culture which gave me another perspective on how people live across the world. Most of these experiences are difficult to verbally explain, and really are instrumental when you are actually experiencing them first hand.

I really enjoyed the dinners and how we got to be apart of the life in Trinity. I felt as if I was a student there, even if I was technically not.

I really enjoyed being immersed in not only English culture but Oxford culture as well. I learned to take criticism and build on it. I also learned how to adapt to new situations and navigate foreign areas.

What are your words of advice to students considering this program?
|
My advice would be to definitely apply to the program. I highly recommend it because it sets you out of your comfort zone in a positive way. The travel experiences are unlike any other. Now is the time in your life to take advantage of such an opportunity. You learn and grow so much through this program.
