What were the most significant take-aways from your experience?
I think the experience of living in another country is one take away that it is hard to even express with words. I feel more mature, more cultured, and ready to take on my future. I also appreciate the amount that my Spanish improved. I was already fluent before going, but I got to watch my fluency and my comprehension skyrocket to a level I never thought I would be at. I also just love the relationships I was able to form that I will never lose and always remember.

What are your words of advice to students considering this program?

What are your words of advice to students considering this program?
I would say to not set expectations. Come in with an open mind, and get excited about the adventures that await you. Do not focus too much on your classes, but do not forget that they are the reason you're there (technically). Travel every chance you get. You will be exhausted from the amount of time you spend exploring new places, but just remember that this is one of the only opportunities you will have in your life to live this kind of lifestyle. Lastly, have SO much fun. I am jealous that you will be going there. It truly is the best experience I have had in my life.

How did the experience impact you and your future educational/career/personal goals?
It did not change a lot about my future goals, but it made me more sure that the path I was on was correct. It also opened up my eyes to other areas of the world, and I now know another part of the world in a way you cannot understand without being there for a long time.
