Transportation was always readily available at each of our stops on the trip. Whenever and where ever we need a bus, a bus would appear and this was all thanks to the thorough planning and consideration of Professor Erasmo. The facilities we stayed in on the trip were all extremely nice and in safe locations, hand picked by Professor Erasmo.

Each site was perfect. We hit all the high points of art and history within Western Europe going from the ancient ruins in Pompei, to the Roman Forum in Rome, and to some of the most beautiful gardens in the world, like the Villa D'Este in Tivolli and La Alhambra in Granada.

Dr. Erasmo did an excellent job in planning this trip and the sites we visited. He did it in such a way that helped to further enhance my understanding of the effects of ancient Rome in the past and present!

Most of the meals were already planned out before hand at highly rated restaurants. The meals were one of my favorite aspects of the trip.

Everything was planned out to the second. Everything ran smoothly and we never missed a beat throughout the entire trip. The trip would not have been as perfect without the endless time and energy Professor Erasmo put in to preparing for our summer excursion to Europe to ensure a smooth and easy trip for the students.

Dr. Erasmo kept the costs to a minimum. He had everyday planned out perfectly to learn the most and spend the least.

This program was well worth the money. We visited many of the most famous sites in Roman antiquity and several Greek sites as well. We became intimately acquainted the Renaissance culture of Florence, Rome, and Paris. In addition we experienced the modern culture of Italy, France and Spain.

It isn't the cheapest program, but certainly worth every single penny as I will never have an experience like this in my entire life. I got to meet incredible new people, see incredible places, and experience incredible cultures and cuisine.

The value is immensely higher than the cost. Being able to visit four countries, see history that is hundreds to thousands of years old, and to learn an immense amount of knowledge all while eating amazing food with your professor is worth the costs. It is so hard to put a price tag on experiences, and this is certainly not an exception.

The Europe: Unearthing the Past Maymester program is an exciting, affordable program that takes you to some of the greatest sites and cities that classical antiquity has to offer. For all of you Classics, History, and Art majors, this is an incredible trip. And for everyone else thinking about going--DO IT! I learned so many new things and met so many new friends. It is also a quick way to gain two upper-level Classics courses for majors and even those thinking of minoring in Classics.

This is only study abroad in the country that starts in Greece and ends in London and exposes you to so much classical culture in between. Profesor Erasmo is the kindest person. He cares so much about making the experience amazing for his students and is so knowledgeable. This was the trip of a lifetime because of Professor Erasmo, having 23 of my closest friends coming out of it, and going non-stop to learn so much about so many different places.
