There are so many places to visit in New Zealand. There are tons of weekend trips, and the Study Abroad Student Society plans a lot of fun trips throughout the semester.

New Zealand was by far the most beautiful country I have ever been to! Traveling there was fairly easy as the cost to rent cars was cheap and the time needed to get out of the city and to hiking locations was short.

I stayed in UniLodge-Beach. It was a bit small, but it works for just one person. It's clean and easy to maintain.

There was no meal plan at UniLodge, but they did have a kitchen and a grill for all the residents to use.

If you join SASS - Study Abroad Student Society, they organize a lot of excursions and events that teach you a lot about the local culture. Otherwise, there are a lot of museums, Maori villages, and events around the city

Spring 2019 Participant
The university hosted many cultural exploration opportunities, including traditional games and holiday events. New Zealand as a whole is also very proud of their heritage, so it is not hard to come by Maori and Kiwi cultural events.
