HKU health center is easily accesable and cheap! I went multiple times and was able to get care in English.

It is definitely a new challenge and a different style than UGA, but it is not impossible if you study.

I love that I was able to take classes with local students. All classes at HKU are taught in English, so I had a wide variety of classes to choose from.

I ate out for every single meal while I was in Hong Kong. Our housing had a 7-Eleven store and student canteen downstairs. Campus also had cheap dining options (roughly $3-4 a meal). I spent about $10 a day on food.

Great value! My housing in Hong Kong was a fifth of the cost of housing at UGA. I was able to spend the difference on traveling (and flights to HK).

Did not experience any culture shock really. HKU is a very modern and Western university, especially since all classes are taught in English.

I was able to network with so many incredible people from around the world! I recommend getting involved in a club or sport! I joined the Taikwondo Club. I regret not doing the internship course (work for social venture) in the business school - all my friends who did it had an amazing experience.

I would suggest future students apply to live in Jockey Club III dorms. Best location and amenities. Student Flats were good because of freedom.

If you want a global experience that is marketable for employers while still really fun, pick Hong Kong! Also, great to note that HKU is the #2 ranked university in Asia.
