I feel that about 25% of the things on the packet are not necessary. Much of the useful information was withheld from students. Even when talking with several students on this trip and those on past trips, most of us felt that we went into the program blind. We only gained clarity about 2 weeks before the start of classes. Perhaps leading with more information for the students would have been better, for ease of students and their preparation for seminars.

Also, telling students that this is "the most academically rigorous thing they will experience,' means nothing to most students. We have all been this phrase on multiple occasions and have been fairly desensitized to it. For other the phrase may be anxiety-inducing, doing more harm than good. Indeed, the program is demanding, but it is nothing students are not used to and cannot handle. Please stop discouraging students by telling them this program is terribly difficult and distressing, it is not helpful and does not aid the student in any way. Be truthful because it is difficult but don't over do it; encourage students more than putting them down.

Other schools from the US attending Oxford had access to Keble dining, but paid per meal and weren't bound to them. This would be my overwhelming preference for the UGA program as well. The food quality at Keble was often very disappointing, but there was great pressure to eat there regardless because of the thousands of unrecoupable dollars spent towards it.

I was a big fan of the group dinners in/out of the house.

So many opportunities! I only wish I had taken more time to engage with more.

The price should not be a deterrent for anyone wanting to go if they can acquire the funds to go. I felt the value I paid was returned 10-fold by the experience.

I spent my first semester at UGA in Oxford, and I am so happy I did. I met so many great friends in an intimate environment. Oxford made my transition into the Georgia community easier.

I would advise students to say yes to every opportunity they can, Yes to exploring Oxford, Yes to touring a new country, Yes to joining a club, and Yes to no regrets!

Be prepared for the amount of time you have—with class meeting only once a week, you might benefit from creating a schedule for yourself that can easily be built around Keble meal times, exercise, and social activity.

Make every day count, explore as much as you can, and spend all your time studying in the libraries if you can.

The UGA at Oxford Fall Semester was the most enriching experience of my life thus far.

I'm glad I did it! The quality of the education there as well as the cultural enrichment was unparalleled. I enjoyed the courses because of how they were taught as well as the discussions surrounding the material for each course. Exploring what the UK had to offer was so fun, and I learned so much more about their culture and lifestyle as well as those of the other countries I managed to visit. I highly recommend applying if you are interested in learning at such a high quality institution or even living in another country for 3 months!

The UGA at Oxford Program is an awesome way to get out of your comfort zone and experience life at another world-famous university. From great classes to a fantastic local environment for travel and fun, this program has it all.

Through the personal and focused tutorial style, I found my voice in academic discussions for the first time in my undergraduate career. With just a singular question guiding the entire class session, I assumed a more active and engaging role in my learning. My tutors offered a starting point, but I had so much freedom to shape my understanding, and that made for a far more provoking intellectual experience.

Soak up every moment. Push through the difficult times and know you will come out on the other side. You will be better from it. Make an effort to see the world, yet stay on top of your work. Go to the formal dinners. Meet some locals. Stay mentally and physically fit. It is okay to get homesick, but utilize it as a time to learn and get uncomfortable.

The UGA at Oxford program has been one of the highlights of my undergraduate experience! Although the courses are academically demanding, the tutorial format in particular is incredibly rewarding and has completely changed my perspective on learning. The professors, staff, and students all contributed to making this an unforgettable semester and I hope that any student interested gets the opportunity to have a similarly wonderful experience.
