I thought the directors/ supervisors did a phenomenal job throughout the program. Whenever there was emergency or malfunction, they remained calm and handled it in a truly professional matter.

I would definitely recommend this program to any student who wants to immerse themselves into Peruvian culture even if they are not in a pre-health profession. The cultural excursions to Incan ruins and Machu Picchu were amazing and very informative because seeing all the amazing architectural feats of the Incans told in textbooks pales in comparison to actually getting to witness them in real life. The three week home-stay was also an amazing experience because it forced students to immerse themselves into Peruvian culture and was extremely beneficial in learning the language. This program was an amazing experience and I would highly recommend it to all students who want to learn more about Peru and improve their Spanish not just the pre-heatlh profession students. Some advice I would give prospective students would be to definitely take some of the recommended medications such as altitude sickness and stomach problems because almost everyone on the trip had those issues. I would also recommend trying to be more open about trying new cuisine and cultural experiences because there will definitely be some culture shock to adjust to.

By far the most educational and influential month of my life. This program not only furthered my Spanish learning, but solidified my career interest as a physician.

This was one of the best college experiences by far. Traveling around Cusco and Trujillo were amazing especially getting to visit the different historical sites and Machu Picchu. It was also an amazing experience getting to see how public healthcare in Peru is compared to the US and to shadow so many different medical doctors.

This was a great experience and a great immersion into a new culture. It was amazing to see the differences in medical institutions and to speak with locals in Spanish.
