Breakfast accommodations were very light, and dinner was very heavy so we ended up spending our own money to enhance a breakfast we'd paid for through the program fees. Dinners were always great. Some protein at breakfast would help curb hunger in class.

The program helped me have a better understanding of music theory and just playing in general. When I came I wasn't very confident in my playing abilities and definitely didn't have any improvising skills. Now I feel much more confident with improvisation and will continue to use that when playing the cello.

I had a wonderful time. I learned a lot about myself, and the type of teacher I want to be. This is something I will remember forever, and help shape my future. I am so thankful I was able to go.

Do it! It was an eye opening trip that could only be experienced abroad.

I think I grew more as a musician in the short weeks that I was there than I had my entire time playing the cello growing up.
