The orientation I received prepared me very well for life abroad, and any information not covered in orientation was easy to find with the help of my host university

The academic quality was good overall and well-adapted for English speakers. However, the structure of classes and the material was quite different than what I'm used to at UGA, and it took some getting used to

I couldn't have picked a better location than Beijing from which to go on sightseeing trips and excursions. Right within the city there are at least five major cultural artifacts, and air and rail travel to surrounding cities is quite cheap

Overall the program was a wonderful experience. In addition to a great cultural experience I also received a quality education while abroad

I would recommend that anyone in this program spend as much time possible traveling and seeing more of China and Asia as a whole. My only regret is that I didn't do more traveling while I was over there

My experience as an exchange student in Beijing was a once in a lifetime opportunity, and was reasonably priced as well. I would highly recommend that every student take advantage of UGA's great relationships with foreign universities and participate in a study abroad program before graduation
