Never actually needed any

It is generally safer than the US, and I walked to my apartment several times late at night with no issues or concerns. The buses and trains are great to get around and very safe.

Really good and informative classes. Would be really hard if a student wasn't on pass/fail though

Evelyn C Schiefelbein, Spring 2019 Participant
There is a good bit to do but if you are truly interested in learning then it isn't that bad.

Can travel for pretty cheap out of the Netherlands, Belgium, and Germany

Evelyn C Schiefelbein, Spring 2019 Participant
I went to Belgium, Germany, Luxembourg, France, Switzerland, Spain, Portugal, and England.

It was cool to live with all the other exchange students in C building and that is the hands down best option. That being said talking to dutch people the dorm was fairly overpriced, the location isn't great, and the no fans/AC can get brutal

Learn to cook

Evelyn C Schiefelbein, Spring 2019 Participant
There is no real dining hall, only a small cafe to buy food from. There are good restaurants near by but I cooked most of my meals.

They do a great job and you'll meet people from all over the world

Evelyn C Schiefelbein, Spring 2019 Participant
Everyone is really nice and there are several clubs you can join to meet people.

Definitely exceeded my expectations

Abby Marie Lowe, Fall 2016 Participant
Although the classes and workload were far more challenging than expected, this was by far the best experience of my life.

Maastricht is a beautiful, picturesque town and unlike a UGA program, you have the opportunity to socialize and travel with people from all over the world. It was a great experience.

Jason Howard Thomas, Spring 2018 Participant
"Maastricht is a quaint little town that offers the ability to feel at home while also providing all resources needed to have a good time and travel."

David Edmond Reid, Spring 2019 Participant
When UGA expanded from a campus in Athens, to a world of experiences.

Evelyn C Schiefelbein, Spring 2019 Participant
This was one of the best decisions of my life. I learned a lot and got to travel to many places. The people, culture, and city are amazing. This whole experience has changed me and made me want to travel more.
