I loved the location because you feel a bit out of the way so you can easily feel immersed in Uni life. However, it is a bit out of the way from the City Centre. Lancaster is a beautiful walk and a bit of a bus ride but for students looking for a larger city, Lancaster is not it.

I loved every course I took. I took three modules for credit and was then allowed to audit two others just because I thought they were interesting. The teachers at Lancaster are fantastic.

You are right near one of the most beautiful places in the UK - the Lakes District. Lancaster is also just two stops on the train to Glasgow and only requires at most, one transfer to London, Manchester, and Liverpool. However, if you are looking to travel throughout Europe on the plane, it is important to keep in mind the distance and time needed to get from Lancaster to Manchester, home to the closest airport.

There is a wide variety of housing. I loved my accommodation and my flatmates became some of my closest friends. I'm Bowland till I die.

Most British students are uncatered. However, there is a catering option at Lancaster. There are many on-campus eateries and most of them allow for use of the catering plan. The option only allows two meals a day.

There is a higher quality of cultural learning that occurs when you live and immerse yourself in a culture completely by yourself. I made so many lifelong friends overseas from countries across the world and learned far more about the U.K. than I ever could have from the states.

All of my friends were British. Lancaster is a very traditional British city so you feel almost completely immersed as soon as you get off the train and see the castle.

Surpassed. I went in with few expectations and Lancaster did not disappoint.

Everybody, go to Lancaster! Please! Then come back and let's talk about it over English breakfast tea with milk and biscuits.

Get involved. I joined a society when I was in the UK and had the opportunity to perform in a musical - something I would never have done if I was here in the States. It also allowed me the opportunity to meet some of the people who became my best friends in Lancaster and even still here in Athens. Also, explore the UK. England is beautiful and so culturally rich. Don't let the temptation of seeing Europe hinder you from exploring England and Lancaster. Take loads of walks. Also, take advantage of the fact that you only have to pass your classes. Enjoy being in England and don't put unnecessary stress on academics. Uni is not super difficult, so don't put too much stress on things that don't need to be stressful.

Going to Lancaster was one of the best experiences I've ever had! Everything is cheap because you're not in a big city but the downtown area still gives you a city experience. The people are so friendly and welcoming and the quality of education you're getting is top-notch. I highly recommend the program to anyone who might be interested!

Roses are red, English skies are grey. Go study at Lancaster and you'll just want to stay.
