Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the cancellation of experiential learning opportunities, students graduating in spring 2020, summer 2020, fall 2020, and spring 2021 may apply for a waiver of the Experiential Learning graduation requirement (ELR). 
 
The student must meet certain eligibility requirements and Academic Advising/OEL will first work with the student to find a suitable and approved EL activity as a replacement. Our primary focus is assisting students in identifying a replacement experience that empowers them to apply their learning in real-world contexts, equipping them with the competencies and expanded perspectives to thrive.  If this is not possible, this waiver policy was approved by the UCC to support students where completion of the ELR will not be possible or may impose a substantial burden on them to complete the requirement prior to their intended graduation date.
