Become a Global Education Ambassador
Education Abroad Ambassadors (EAA) is a student-run organization recognized by the Center for Student Organizations in collaboration with the StudyAway department within the Office of Global Engagement (OGE) here at the University of Georgia. Ambassadors serve to promote and support students interested in study away experiences, support the efforts of the UGA Office of Global Engagement, and seek to further student interest in international educational experiences through their interaction with fellow students.
All Ambassadors have previously completed at least one study away experience while enrolled at the University of Georgia and have a mutual interest in helping their peers participate in international endeavors. Ambassadors meet monthly, host multiple StudyAway Workshops each semester, and fundraise for scholarships for future study abroad students. EAA members assist StudyAway staff by serving as volunteers for the annual OGE Open House, StudyAway Fairs, pre-departure orientations, re-entry orientations, various Options Abroad student panel sessions, and much more.
For returned study away students looking for a fun and beneficial way to share about their experiences studying away, this is the ideal leadership opportunity. Being an Education Abroad Ambassador aids students in receiving their Global Education & Leadership Certificate through Involvement and Volunteerism at the University of Georgia.
