Become an Global Education Ambassador
Global Education Ambassadors is a student-run organization recognized by the Center for Student Organizations in collaboration with the StudyAway department within the Office of Global Engagement (OGE) here at the University of Georgia. GE Ambassadors serve to promote and support students interested in study away experiences, support the efforts of the UGA Office of Global Engagement, and seek to further student interest in international educational experiences through their interaction with fellow students.
All GE Ambassadors have previously completed at least one study away experience while enrolled at the University of Georgia and have a mutual interest in helping their peers participate in international endeavors. GE Ambassadors meet monthly and host multiple StudyAway Workshops each semester. Past workshops have included “International Health & Safety,” “Breaking Out of the Bubble,” “Tales from Abroad,” “Packing, Budgeting, and Useful Apps,” etc. GE Ambassadors assist StudyAway staff by serving as volunteers for the annual OGE Open House, StudyAway Fairs, pre-departure orientations, re-entry orientations, various Options Abroad student panel sessions, and much more.
