Embedded Programs
Embedded Studies Away are courses that offer an optional, supplemental academic course with a study abroad component. Embedded programs are week-long study away experiences that take place during a university break or during the Maymester/Summer terms. Students who choose this option will gain short-term global experience in addition to the full credit of the original course. The Embedded Program course is designed to take place during the week – Friday evening through Saturday – of a break or Maymester/Summer terms. Group size must be at least 15 students, and no more than 30, and courses must meet UGA and BOR contact hour policies. For full details on the policies and procedures regarding establishment of Embedded Studies Away programs, please see the Embedded Studies Away Initiative.
