** Program fee listed above does not include the $150 program deposit that will be paid separately upon acceptance to the program. Once accepted, students must
register for TXMI 5710/7710 and FSTY 1033 in order to go on the trip.
** Round trip airfare, daily meals, personal expenses, and ground transportation are not included in the cost of attendance estimate above and should be budgeted based on personal spending habits.
- Out-of-state students pay in-state tuition for credits taken on out-of-state Field Study programs***.
- The HOPE and Zell Miller scholarships apply to those who are eligible.
- Estimated Cost of Attendance is determined by the Office of Student Financial Aid.
- All budget amounts are estimates only. Prices are subject to change.
- Personal spending money varies depending on personal spending habits.
***Out-of-state students will receive an out-of-state tuition waiver [i.e. tuition for participation will be charged at the in-state level] only when they are enrolled SOLELY for out-of-state field study courses for any given term.

Other notes about refunds of payments:
- If NYC is open with normal business activity, but there is deemed to be too much risk and UGA makes the decision to cancel, non-refundable payments will not be returned.
- If a student becomes sick with COVID on the week of trip and can't go, then non-refundable payments will not be returned. If they become sick on the trip, they would also be liable for additional, personal costs (i.e., hotel, medication, food, etc.).
- If City and State officials deem it unsafe with NYC businesses closing completely, or if the trip is absolutely not feasible due to another pandemic event, natural disaster or terrorist attack, then a full refund of non-refundable payments will be granted.
