What were the most significant take-aways from your experience?
Program Testimonials
Visiting the companies was the most significant experience from this trip because of how trade and business work differently up in Canada. One big difference I noticed was how they showed so much respect to the Native Americans or first-nations as they described it.
— Alex Kim, Spring Break 2020
What were the most significant take-aways from your experience?
Program Testimonials
Vancouver is a beautiful city and it is potentially one of the places that I would like to live in the future. Canada has profound respect for the First Nation who were the Natives of the land in Canada. Before the government of Canada can move on with a decision, an agreement or approval must be given by the First Nation.
— Boum-joon Kim, Spring Break 2020

I really enjoyed seeing the different culture that Canada had. They were very similar to the US but they had much bigger emphasis on public transportation and walkability.

What are your words of advice to students considering this program?
Program Testimonials
My words of advice to students considering this program are do it! I would recommend looking into some Canadian trade agreements with the United States. I found the information really interesting to learn about, and I have now started keeping up with the news after taking this class/seeing the affects these deals have on both nations. I would also say to look into Vancouver and see if that city seems interesting to potential students. Overall I would say if you are even considering applying for this program to do it, because it has really been the greatest experience I've had in my four years at UGA.
