Final Reflection Questions
What were the most significant take-aways from your experience?
Staying with the host families really helped my overall Spanish comprehension and speaking abilities, and I really enjoyed learning about Spain's history and then being able to see it within the culture during my experiences.

What were the most significant take-aways from your experience?
Spain is very different than the United States in a lot of ways and very similar in some other ways. It's so cool to observe and learn how Spanish people go about their days relative to how we do in America. I knew there were plenty of amazing places to visit in Spain, but actually going to them and being inside of them was really special. Also, interacting with our host families during meals was some of the most fun I had and was a time when I really got to put my improved Spanish into practice.

What were the most significant take-aways from your experience?
I learned a tremendous amount about the politics and history of Spain, as well as the role the US plays in other countries from their point of view. I also learned differences between our education system and the one in Spain. I was able to improve greatly in my Spanish speaking abilities, by taking any opportunity I was presented with to use the language.

How did the experience impact you and your future educational/career/personal goals?
Studying abroad in Spain definitely helped me gain a better world-view and grasp the importance of understanding and accepting other cultures, which I think everyone can benefit from.

How did the experience impact you and your future educational/career/personal goals?
I absolutely loved my month in Madrid and Barcelona. My Spanish skills skyrocketed. It was my first time traveling out of the country, and it has only pushed me to want to explore more of Spain and other countries in Europe. Being a sports reporter for a soccer team or network in Spain seemed like a reach before the trip, but now I feel like that is a reasonable challenge I can take on when I graduate or further down the line.
